Brainly

Homework Q&A with community answers, AI explanations, and paid tutors.

Brainly lets someone snap or type a question and get an explanation or a posted answer. You must be at least 13 to create an account. It is a poor fit for most elementary kids.

Best for

A middle schooler who is already 13, with a parent who will talk about copying answers before the app is installed.

Pricing

Partly verified

The U.S. App Store listing shows Brainly Plus at $9.99 a month or $39.99 a year, and Brainly Tutor at $29.99 a month or $95.99 a year. That same listing also shows other Plus prices, so the amount in your store can differ. The free tier is limited. Brainly’s own tutor FAQ says you must be at least 13 to subscribe.

Teaches, or gives the answer?

The product is built around answers: verified answers, textbook solutions, step-by-step explanations, and a math solver on Plus. Tutor adds live people. A child can use it to learn the steps or to copy the result.

Kid safety and privacy

Verified from public pages

Brainly’s help center says you must be at least 13 to create an account. The App Store rates the app 13+ and notes advertising and user-generated content. This is not a COPPA kids’ product for under-13s.

What we could not verify

  • App Store price SKUs conflict with each other. Treat $9.99 / $39.99 and $29.99 / $95.99 as the named plans on that listing, then check the store before paying.
  • Brainly Tutor’s subject list in the FAQ is math, physics, biology, and chemistry, from middle school through college — not a full K–8 reading or writing program.
