Pricing
Verified from public pages
Prodigy’s parent pricing page lists Core at $9.95 a month or $58.95 a year, Plus at $14.95 a month or $88.95 a year, and Ultra at $19.95 a month or $118.95 a year. The company says the educational content is free and memberships are optional. Math covers grades 1–8. Science, on the membership page, covers grades 1–6. Higher tiers also mention an English game.
Teaches, or gives the answer?
Children answer math questions to play. It is not a tool that returns the answer to a photographed worksheet. Membership does not unlock the curriculum; the curriculum is already free.
Kid safety and privacy
Verified from public pages
Prodigy’s student privacy page says it is certified by iKeepSafe for COPPA, FERPA, and California student-privacy rules. It says it collects a first name, last initial, rough location, grade, and a password, and that student information is not used for third-party or behavioral ads. Kids cannot share personal messages with other players.
What we could not verify
- Grade 1 is the bottom of the stated math range, so kindergarten is not clearly covered even though the K–2 filter includes this tool for 1st and 2nd grade.
- English is mentioned on the pricing page. Grade coverage for the English game was not spelled out on the pages we used, so reading is not tagged.
- Science stops at grade 6 on the membership page we read.
