Quizlet
Flashcard study site. Its AI tutor, Q-Chat, was retired in 2025.
Quizlet is flashcards, practice tests, and — on the paid plan — expert-written solutions. Q-Chat, the AI tutor Quizlet launched with OpenAI, is no longer available. Quizlet’s own blog says that as of June 2025.
Best for
Studying terms a teacher already assigned, especially in 6th–8th grade. Weak choice if you wanted an AI tutor.

Pricing
Partly verified
Quizlet has a free tier and paid Plus plans, including a family plan. The public upgrade page we opened did not show dollar prices in the text we could read, so no Plus price is listed here.
Teaches, or gives the answer?
Making and practicing flashcards is study. Quizlet Plus also sells expert-written solutions, which are answers. Q-Chat is not part of the product anymore.
Kid safety and privacy
Verified from public pages
Quizlet is in the PRIVO Kids Privacy Assured COPPA safe-harbor program. Users under 13 sign up with a parent’s email, and a parent has to confirm the account. Younger accounts have limits on public sets, classes, and sharing. Q-Chat was not available under the age of consent even when it existed.
What we could not verify
- Plus and family-plan prices were not visible on the upgrade page we fetched. Check quizlet.com/upgrade before paying.
- Under-13 accounts are restricted. This is a clumsy fit for K–2, so those grades are left off.
